Necrovita

For 2 years I’ve always wanted to present a themed photography show. To begin with it was A Day in the Life of Vampires. But due to society recently thinking that Vampires skin “shimmers” in the sunlight, I opted to go with something not so beautiful: Zombies. So I combined the Greek and Latin words Necro (meaning dead) and Vita (meaning life) and created the concept NECROVITA: A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ZOMBIES. These pictures were shot with a Sony DSC-H50 and a tripod. The models are close friends of mine. I can’t thank them enough for letting me cover them in red dyed corn syrup and toilet paper. They were real champs throughout the process. I held the show at the Alabama Music Box and a trio of gentlemen who call themselves TKO played after the showing. The house was packed both upstairs and downstairs. The show was a great success and had many questions as to how I did it, and if there was going to be a sequel.  The night really encouraged me to do another Necrovita in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled! And now, on with the show…
